Difference between X1900 and X1950

The X1950s are a somewhat faster than the X1900s. But if you're going for a card now. Then the G80 is the way to go.

Even if I can get a X1900XT @ £115 compared to £195 for a 8800GS?

I would say stretch to the GTS personally, X1900 is a bit old now, i have a X1900XT-X and its showing its age.

x1950 XTX's are just x1900's, only they have GDDR4 Ram, and have a '+' sign added onto the die, so it reads 580+, also a different cooler, same cards though, x1950 XTX's were not selling when they were released as everyone was buying the much cheaper x1900 XTX's, didn't blame them seen as the x1950 XTX was about 2fps faster in some games, was hilarious, even these guys were trying to shift em 'what if we did the x1950's for x amount', didn't work either. :D
