Difference in music CD formats for UK and US?

I'm sure I read on the internet that the Americans have their jewel cases hinged on the right,so that will cause problems,

Nah, they are the same format and everything, its just that its read outwards->in... hence the American cd players spinning them counter-clockwise
 
damn you all! i've told the buyer that it will work.

now i'm going to hide under a big pile of coats until it all blows over.
