You really see the difference in wire frame mode i actually felt like i could walk on those cobbled stones.

lets just hope gfx makers and game developers start utilising this power and stop trying to hand out x box and ps3 ports be nice to see some PC only games again

If there was a couple of big games that used DX11 to that degree then I would buy a 5850 even at today's prices :eek: I hope it takes off because if companies make DX11 games (that look like that) then people will buy DX11 cards. The more people who buy DX11 cards then the more games there will be.
 
Wow some of that really does look fantastic, I hope a lot of game makers take advantage and make the most of dx11s features.

No the difference is they said that about every new DX but this time you can see the difference.
Its like not wanting to have children because its not visibly obvious that they are bigger the next day.

The fact is that there are improvements that are gradual that does not make them not worth it.
If it did move in leaps & bounds then it will only make card obsolete faster & more people left behind as they will not want to try to keep up with the expense & thus less games because if the games for the current then the people with the new will be moaning about no support for the new features & if the games for the new then the old will be moaning that they cant run it at all because there is such a big leap in the DX capability from the gen before, but in reality they would be trying to code for a DX in the future that does not even exist so that it can be on the self a month after launch of the new DX to please the infeasible people.
