Just wondering really, what's the specified power draw of a chip as given by intel or amd based on, given that chips have different VIDs? I mean, surely, say, an intel i5 750 specified as 95w TDP will depend upon the VID?...

TDP isn't power draw.
And 95W TDP is given to the lowest binned chip of any series.
For example, a 125W TDP 1055T could be only 100W TDP. 125W TDP would apply to the worst binned.

Power consumption depends on voltage(s), at stock it'll differ from chip to chip.

Tdp is thermal design something, a worst case value for heat given out for heatsink designers etc to work from.

Tdp is often the best guess going for a chips power consumption, but it's not meant for that purpose.

voltages are whack :P

on my 1055t i run stock i change the voltage lol

from 1.375 all the way down to 1.300 and the chip runs fine even when all 6 cores are under load :S
