Hi all,

I'm just wondering if I want to add another monitor to my setup, presently 24'' with 16:10 ratio and I'm thinking getting a larger monitor, 29''-32'' but not sure if the aspect ratio has to be the same or can I get a 16:9 or 21:9 even ??? The larger monitor will be used to watch movies mostly if that makes a difference.

Reason I'm asking is down, well, to cost really, since larger monitors with 16:10 ratio seem to be twice as expensive as 16:9 or 21:9 monitors. :(

Thank you reflux ! :)

Although I should probably have mentioned I have 3 x 24'' monitors at 16:10 ratio. The 4th one if I buy would be above them but take it that it would still work with different ratios ?

Something that occurred to me while I been looking is would a single R290 be enough to run 3 monitors at 1920x1200 and say either a 4th one at 2560x1080 or at 3840x2160 ??

Sorry for such nobbish questions, just would hate to find out after a possible purchase my single card wouldn't be enough. :o

4 monitors total but depends on what connection types you want to use, at what resolutions and which refresh rates.

Aspect ratio is a total non-issue.

Resolution and refresh rate are far more important issues.

Thanks Sin Chase ! :)

Having looked around a little bit and think I be going for a 21:9 monitor, since it will be mostly used for movies and when I working on a web site, so the extra screen estate be beneficial there I think.

Resolution on them seem to be 2560 x 1080 but the refresh rate not sure about. I am presently looking at the LG Flatron 29UM65 (but if the monitor control access is on the bottom part of the panel this will be a no go) or the Dell UltraSharp U2913WM.

If option for a 21:9 can my single Sapphire R290 4Gb run them all ?

Edit: Ok seems the LG 29UM65 is out, although probably wont matter what brand it is anyway. lol
