Not sure why it’s doing it but Adobe Photoshop is making not only the colours look wrong but the sharpness as well. Now I save the Photomatix shot which is nice and sharp with good colours as a tif. Open the tif in adobe and it looks completely different. If I use Topaz Labs filter in Adobe, which opens a seperate window, it’s the same colour as the Photomatix one.

I’ve set the Cache level to 1 and still no change.

Basically every single application other than Adobe is the same!

Can anyone recommend another application good for photography editing?

Rather than changing editing software, why don't you solve the problem? You've probably got your colour profile not set correctly.

I kinda thought this thread was trying to do just that

It was set to " Monitor Color " I think I'll reset it back to SRGB, see if that makes a difference. Haven't used Photoshop in a year and had many driver changes since then

Cheers

I found out what's causing it!

Even though I had set to SRGB it was still opening in the wrong colours and sharpness, turns out adobe bridge was opening the layers with Adobe Photoshop 64x, which I don't use and has default settings. Preserve embedded colour settings also needs to be ticked in bridge.

EDIT : Nope still doing it, Photomatix is completely different to everything else now :(

Photomatix - Yellow Tint / Adobe/Windows Gallery/Bridge - Purple Tint
