Different Core Speeds?

I've clocked my 6300 to 2.4Ghz (6 x 400) but Core Temp and SP2004 are reporting it to be 2.8Ghz although CPU-Z is reading 2.4Ghz. Any ideas why this might be?

Have you got Intel Speedstep or whatever the power saving mode is called turned on?

Ok I'm assuming it's CPU EIST from what i've quickly read on other threads but it doesn't appear in the Advanced BIOS section. It's a DS3 on the F7 BIOS. I might be being completely blind!

It's the lowered multiplier that confuses them. They think you're running at 7x400.

Yep, bet my computer properties is showing 2.8Ghz too.
