Well pretty much what the title says, according to my bios I'm at 370 * 6 = 2.2Ghz, as does CPU Z, yet Windows and the Gigabyte overclocking tool says I'm at 370 * 7 = 2.59Ghz? Dunno why it's doing this, any input would be appreciated, specs in sig :)

Have you got all the CPU techs disabled? Like EIST and virtualisation and so on. I think there's around 4 or 5 of them.

CPU is not multi locked - you can lower the multi from 7 to 6 but you cant raise it above its 'stock' 7.

With the 6300 you really have no need to run the cpu at 6, set it to 7. Some windows tools will report that your cpu is set at its nominal value of 7 even if it is not.
