different readings

I've just built a new system with the commando mobo and e6600 cpu i've overclocked to 3ghz keeping the vcore to 1.325 but i'm getting some confilcting readings from windows system information and cpuz
coretemp and tat.
I've oc'd useing 8x375=3ghz keeping memory and vcore at auto,but coretemp is showing 8x421=3375mhz cpuz is showing 6x375=2250mhz system info in windows is showing 3375mhz.

I'm useing the latest bios from asus and both windows xp and vista give the same readings.

It looks like you haven't turned off C1E/Speedstep so the CPU has dropped the multiplier back as the system is idle.

If you set the Thermal Workload to 100% and press start I'll bet CPUz shows 8x and the MHz come back up to 3.375GHz.

yes thanks set workload to 100% in tat and cpuz showed correct reading 8x375 =3000mhz but still cant under stand the higher readings in coretemp
8x421=3375mhz why doeas that reading keep poping up
