Different resolution ?

Tried my mums 32" LCD tv , which i had at 1920 x 1080. Everything was smooth and clear and looked awesome, all sat perfectly in screen.

Hooked up the 32" LCD TV i got today in ******, put it to 1920 x 1080 and the res was worse. Text looked crap, off screen and everything. What

going on ?

Both are a LG TV and both 1080P.
Both at were at 50 / 60 HZ refresh rate.

Any idea's ?

connected to what via what cable? I know that my 22" full 1080p looks rubbish when connected to my PC over HDMI as it doesnt have a "PC Mode" or something?

You need to disable overscan on both your video card drivers and your TV to get 1:1 pixel mapping.

Just fixed my problem went throught the different picture opitions, 16:9, oringal etc. then cam across one 'just scan' when i have it connected my HDMI.
So thats it looking beautiful now

"Just Scan" is exactly what the 1:1 pixel option is called on my Samsung TV too!

I was about to suggest it, then I thought nah LG probably call it something else.
