Difficult to set up MFT

I think this is more of a software question than a networking question tbh.

That’s if it’s something to do with software testing and they didn’t just accidentally type MFT when they meant MFP and they just want to share a printer/scanner across a network ;)

I'm guessing MFT in this context means Managed File Transfer. Not something I particularly have heard of but googling suggests it could allude to anything from setting up an SFTP server through to an auditable, legally compliant, workflow orientated managed solution for legal firms. If OP is talking about the lower end of the scale then setting up something like an SFTP server (bad idea) or Nextcloud, Owncloud etc. is pretty straightforward, but if those solutions are acceptable then I think I'd be looking to commodity cloud storage providers for that in a small business to take the headache out of it. If you subscribe to O365 as a business then maybe the included OneDrive allowance is sufficient.

I have set up a number of MFT systems for my organistion. Currently setting up a product called GoAnywhere. Your question is incredibly ambiguous though and would require a lot more detail for any of us to really be able to answer.

If it's a small business then just get a WeTransfer Pro account
Small or not this is incredibly bad advice without knowing what kind of data is being transferred. My organisation for instance absolutely cannot have ANY data at rest outside of our organisation. Small business still need to adhere to regulations.
