digital box

Hi,

I picked up a cheapo digi box from currys trouble is I cannot get ITV, CHANNEL 4 or ITV4 since I installed it...all other channels are fine

I tried rescanning, reinstalling etc...

Could it be a dodgy box?

I did call the nationwide helpline and was told it had something to do with the indoor aerial which comes down from the roof but I really can't see that being the case as my neighbour gets everything on his digibox..

All help would be most appreciated...

Ask your neighbour to try it on his aerial then you will know if its the box or your aerial.

When you take your car into the garage and they tell you it needs new brake pads, do you tell them it can't possibly be that because your neighbours brake pads are fine?

What a ridiculous post. If you mean you and your neighbour are using the SAME aerial, then it might make more sense but of course you wouldn't be doing that as it's unsafe & means you could get a nasty electric shock one day.

He means try his box on the neighbours aerial to find out if the box is faulty or the signal from the aerial is causing the lack of channels.

Kinda like going into a garage and them telling you you brake pads need replacing and trying your pads in another car to see if its the pads at fault or something else?

Ps. it not advisable to do the above.
