Motherboard in my GF's rig has a Realtek HD chip and codec, but there's no digital output.
The motherboard has a digital SPFDIF, 3 Pin connection on the board (Circuitry, that isn't used) though, I think i know what i'm looking for, tried every search term I can think of, but all I find is info site's....
How can I make the SPFDIF on the motherboard into either a Fibreobtic or digital coaxial to connect to my amp! I heard this can be done ive seen pictures of above but is there any other way other than making my own coxial by cutting off one end and connecting the inner (ground) and outer to the SPDIF directly. Like the picture above?
