Order......DMC-TZ5

Hi, I bought and received an order today of an Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 digital camera and was alarmed to find it’s not the UK spec version but an import by the charger. Obviously this concerns me over warranty and service centres in the UK. I know the camera is under warranty with the distributor for two years but if the camera fails three years down the line I want to know I can send it to the service centre here in the UK.

It basically came with a uk adaptor from a two pin charger!

Any information on this would be great.

Order from Digital first………….UK..
Cheers
Stewart.

This is what i got form Panasonic UK!
"In response, if the product was purchased within the EU, the product will be covered under normal guarantee for twelve months from purchase. If purchased outside of the EU, you may still qualify for repairs under guarantee. In order to qualify, you will need to produce your purchase receipt and Limited Worldwide Warranty paperwork.

USA purchases hold not warranty in the UK"

It was after all bought in the Uk online! So it should be ok then?

Unfortunately, you'll need to remove the competitor name from your post.

I got exactly the same model. TBH who cares. Like you said you get a 2yr warranty.

Just got it all back from Panasonic UK! Seemingly its covered as it was bought firstly and secondly sourced in the EU..So is covered by service centres.

Had a wee panic as I paid over £300 for a Sony that is now a table wait after firstly it got fixed for a CPU problem came back and I thought it was fine as I took a few pics only to find out it was not a good few months down the line. Granted I got a few years use but I used it very little.
