Digital SLR User subscription

is this magazine any good?
is it worth the subscription?
do any of you get this?

I really struggle with photography magazines, they're mostly the same thing over and over again "How to create a HDR!" "How to use filters" "how to clone stuff out in PS" then the remaining 100 pages being adverts..

In all honesty I find using forums and the internet in general, far more helpful than any magazine, if you absolutley have to buy one I think outdoor photography is one of the better ones.

I got given a sub to this for a year, its was ok but nothing special tbh and I didn't renew. One thing that did annot me slightly was the number of advertorials, though don't know whether the other magazines do the same to fill pages or not, so might be par for the course for photography mags.

I got a 6 month subscription at Christmas as a gift. The first issue was meh, and the remaining ones I never opened.

i dunno about digital slr user, but I find photo plus (canon only) to be a damned good magazine when im on the throne


also, most magazines are good for inspiration, find a shot you like in the mag, try to recreate it, then add your own twist
