Parent is flapping about "having" to buy a new TV:rolleyes:
I'm not going to mention a set top box as the TV is out of the arc anyway and it's about time she was brought into the 21st Century:D

Being as I have a day off work today I said I'd make sure she didn't come back with a pile of poo.

Is my best choice going to be Panasonic... I'm sure she'll be whining about the cost anyway, otherwise I'd suggest a Pioneer.

Your thoughts on which one though.

I'm going to suggest a budget of £500, not sure yet how well that will be received

Arrgh silly moo, it was only channel 5 moving home today.
The actual switchover for all channels isn't until 2011.

I know what you mean, It's like she was about to lose a limb this morning.
Christ sake woman it's only TV

Samsung 32"

Out of the billion or so* 32" samsungs which one would you be referring to?

Panasonic - TX-P50X10 for 592 or Panasonic - TX-P50X10B for 689 if you know where to look

you do realise both those tv's are the same don't you?

All the B means is the TV was designated for UK distribution.
Oh and you are 100 and 200 quid over budget. :p

* might be a slight over exaggeration

As said though, unless the price comes down a bit they are too much money.
She was moaning about £500 as it was

LCD's are out, too much shudder in any high speed action sequences, totally spoils any film.
I'd like to see an LG beat a panasonic. lol

No it's called seeing with my own eyes on various sets and I'VE found LCD to be crap compared to Plasma. Nothing regurgitated at all.
I even went to the sound and vision show in Bristol and sat in on a fair few demos thanks.
