2PSI overcompensation is quite high surely? I've got the BMW pump with the analogue gauge built in, and it only loses a small amount of pressure, not enough to make a difference really.

You're probably right...I should get a gauge as well instead of guesstimating.

I have a Michelin one in the boot, but tbh I tend to just pay 20p and use the Tesco one, less faff.

Bought it because I had a bad puncture and needed to drive ~50 metres to flat ground before I could swap out the wheel.
