Maybe I didn't make myself clear - I was referring to cropping the picture using a picture editing package, not the so-called "crop factor" of most DSLR sensors.
 
cant seem to get elements 4 anymore, from adobe, but i am downloading a 30 day trial of elemtents 5 right now

Fair enough , it confused the **** out of me :D
 
if the person has one of those little photo printers that you can buy as a package with the digicam and just goes from cam to printer without a PC, then digital zoom is of use.
but for those of use that us the PC, then its of no use.
