Dilema

When you say your uncle can plug his Sky dish into the back of his TV, have you seen this functioning? Actually looked at the cabling yourself?

Unless he has a digital receiver in his TV there's no way it works, and it is unlikely your 32" does.

What at you trying to achieve ?

I assume you have sky+ as you have 2 coax cables into the sky box? It has 2 feeds so it can record one signal and watch another. By removing one cable you will lose this ability.

Secondly the sky signal (subscription) channels need decoding via the sky box, your tv, your uncles tv can't do this. It sounds as though, as others have said he has freesat on his tv.

But back to the origianlnquestion, what are you trying to achieve ?

huh your uncle is a joker...lol.

You are lucky your \tv socket is still working they are not designed to take voltage that comes down a sky lead. You will get nothing from a sky lead if u put it in your TV. Its needs a sky box.

as above is it sky plus or sky HD or multiroom
