Dinosaur Planet: BBC One

Thought this week was better than last week. Or maybe because I was expecting the 'pause and cut to science bit' every so often it felt better.

watched this last night and thought it was much better than the week before, i thought the forest was more convincing looking as a back drop than the rivers/ more open scenes of the previous one and the script was less annoying

will certainly keep watching and may be stop moaning

Was a good episode but was interrupted half way trough with our Chinese being delivered late! The gigantoraptor looked so weird though. Definitely wouldn't want one of those bad boys after me!

Just caught up with this on iPlayer (late to join the party I know!) and wanted to say how impressed I was! I used to be a dinosaur nut when I was young but I've never seen a dinosaur program that justifies what it is depicting so well.

I've watched the first three (the one on featured dinos was my fav so far) and I'll watch the latter three tonight.

One thing that didn't gel for me was the fact that throughout the series the scientific basis behind the recreations was excellent, except for the plesiosaurs. There wasn't enough detail in the descriptions to provide any reason why some fissues in a cliff in Switzerland are considered evidence for the unusual hunting behaviour of plesiosaurs. Now, that info may exist in a scientific paper somewhere but in the way it was presented in the show it appeared pure guess work and fancy.
