Dips in volume on songs??

Hey all,

at 1st i thought i was going crazy and my hearing was going funny!

but i keep hearing dips in songs, its hard to explain because its not obvious dips its more like u stick someone has a hand in front of a speaker for a split second and you get that different sound?

i heard it on a few metallica songs earlier and then just before on a stone sour song so i thought its worth a mention cos its frustrating!!

Ive got a Z - 5500 and using creative audio panel as my software?

any advice appreaciated please!!!!!

itsone of two things:

1. a dodgey coonnection to the speakers. restri the cable, retwist it then reconnect. may even be that the crossover is going.

2. human hearing error. i know this sounds stupid but our ears percieve different volume dependant on the density of how much we hear. if you go to your audio panel and look for a loudness equalization option (tick it) it should solve the issue. otherwise it could just be a recording error/technique.

sounds like someone has fader on the music.
