Hi all,

I was experiencing random drops in connection with the DIR 615 with the stock firmware, so I upgraded to the latest DD WRT.

Everything connected fine but I have the following issues which I've spent hours trying to sort out, trawling random forum posts and reading the dd wrt wiki etc.

Most importantly is the speed at which my laptop now connects to the router, it was always 150mbps with the stock firmware, now, no matter what I do or what I change in the config page it never goes above 72 mbps, my download speeds appear appalling compared to how they were!

Secondly I now have a moderate NAT on black ops (xbox360).

Any ideas before I launch this router out of the window? :)

what model is it?

d2?

there are different firmwares for different models, make sure you are running the right firmware for your model.

also you need to be on a different channel to your neightbours for 40mhz to work properly.

try different channels

Its the D2, I have the correct firmware, I have fixed the moderate NAT problem by enabling upnp.

I was playing around with different channels earlier but I will give it a go again, hopefully I can sort it out, thanks you :)

I've just flashed to that one, still have the issue, it reports 300mbps in the config page of DD WRT but windows still reports that I'm connected at 72 which it never used to do..... I give up now, not sure what else to try in all honesty :)
