I have a brand new e6400 laptop from work, its top of the range P9600, 4gb ram etc but it is sooo sloooow it makes my netbook look like a supercomputer.
IT department wont touch it as they say its exactly like the others they build and it doesn't surprise me...it is filled with loads of work crap on startup that I'm not allowed to touch which is one possible reason, the other seems to be the dire disk performance (see below).
I have enabled performance acoustic settings in bios, made sure caching was enabled in windows to, its just as bad, what more can I do?
