Who's familiar with it, thanks.

Edit, sorry everyone, yes Social Services direct payments for disabled people, it's meant to give you full control of your needs.

Im on the old system, I'm looking to move, is it worth it. Thanks.

Will you still be getting the same hours and everything?
New system as in what exactly?

The system I am part of gives a bank account set up in the disabled persons name and then the employees fill in time sheets, (signed by employee and employer) send them off to WECIL, (thats the people who deal with sorting out wages and tax,) then they send back the wage slips and the child I am paid by's Mum writes everyone out a cheque and one for the tax man.

Does that help at all?

Basically instead of social services paying for your package of care, they give you the money to spend how you wish. So, technically you could cut back a few hours a week and then spend that money saving towards something else you would like to do i.e a shopping trip.

From the feedback we've got at work I would definately look into it.
