DirectX 10 confirmed games

Flat looking textures, no shadows, poor lighting, blurry, low quality models... just doesn't look very good compared to other titles available 2 years ago, let alone against DX10 titles.
Agree. I've recently played Unreal 2 and I don't think Halo 2 looks much better than that did. Unless they dramatically improve the graphics and improve on the originals boring game play I won't be getting Vista any time soon.

Lol, whats up with ppl saying halo 2 looks good -.-

put 1 ss of alan wake and 1 ss of halo 2 side by side and make sure u open ** eyes big enough to see the difference between real dx10 and wannabe dx10

this has been posted tons im sure, ive seen those shots like 50 times linked on this forum

Yep sure someone posted them in the graphics card section. Think the conclusion was that some of the FS 10 screens were artist renditions as well. But saying that, the Alan Wake pics and some of the others do look good though.

Lol those screen shots look proper DIRE. i would have thought that D3d10 would at least have SHADOWS!!!! and do you think theyve overdone the bloom, just a *little* bit?

how do u think a G80 GTS would run these games? im pretty sure a gtx would easily run them very well but a GTS isnt that much more powerful that an 1950xtx or something.

Isn't the first Flight Sim X screenshot an artists impression and not from the actual gameplay? I seem to remember reading that on here a while ago.

Yep its been posted before a few times now, artists impressions, and Dx9 etc...

In DX10? Its impossible to say.

Them Halo 2 shots dont look that impressive.

Alan Wake and Crysis look far more impressive than it.

2 years to come to the PC and they can't be bothered to remove the 'X' button reference! Tsk, tsk!

Actually I think you've stumbled on to something there.

Far more likely to be a high res cap of of halo 2 on xbox. Unless that pic is a very old one taken by a dev.

Leaving in references to the consoles is something you'd expect from Japanese PS2 ports, not MS.

Unless Halo 2 Vista has got the XInput API in, ready for the Xbox 360 controller. Isn't that the whole idea with that API, that if it's used properly it will do the 360 controller rumble and display its buttons rather than "button 1", "y axis", "z axis", etc. ??

The screens were added in September, so that would make sense.

I'm not convinced tho.
