Directx 11

Hi I am wondering if anyone else is having any problems with direct x 11.

I have got a asus 5870 and when i install drivers for catalyst i can run things in direct x 11 no problem to start with but when i reboot it does not function proper i dont think.

I discovered this with the ladybird and mecha demos about a month ago, and didnt think anything of it just put it down to bad programming or summot.

I recently installed metro 2033 and that wont let me enable dx 11 either.

So i reinstalled catalyst and all 3 ran in dx 11 but soon as i reboot they stopped doing again.

I have even tried the 10.2 hotfix

Can anyone help or no what to do, help would be appreciated

you tried updating directx? you might need one of the c++ runtimes too...

Yeah tried that with the feb 2010 version

Appears to be a bug with the Asus software.

If you have installed the GameOSD utility, it will cause this problem. the card won't be detected as DX11 card, and you can't enable its features in any game or application.

Yeah just discovered this by chance just before reading this.

I thought was catalyst at first so uninstalled that and Gamer osd.

Seems fine now.
