Directx Compatability List

Hi

I was wondering if someone could be so kind as to post a possible sticky of a list of graphics card series and which version of directx they are fully compatable with. I think it would be useful as a quick reference to anyone buying 2nd hand cards from the Members Market. For example:

NVidia 8 Series - DX10
ATI Radeon 9 Series - DX9
NVidia GF2 ...etc

obviously in some kind of chronilogical or numerical order.

What do you think? Or I can compile the list myself if you could give me some entries.

Note; there is a difference between "compatible with" and "directx hardware level".

A DX8.1 card is compatible with DX9 for example, it just won't utilise any DX9 hardware specific instructions.

Nvidia Geforce 6*** series / ATi Radeon X*** series - Dx9
Nvidia Geforce FX 5*** series / ATi Radeon 9*** series - Dx9
Nvidia Geforce 4 Series / ATi Radeon 8*** series - Dx8
Nvidia Geforce 3 series / ATi Radeon 7*** series - Dx8
Nvidia Geforce 2 series - Dx7
