So i updated my drivers from windows update last night, after playing CoD4 with some friends in mix's etc etc.

However now i cannot load any game, keeps flashing up as DirectX has encounter an unrecoverable problem, and after reinstalling the drivers 2 times, they are still not working correctly.

Anyone know a way i can reset them or download previous versions?

Thanks beforehand :) if you could post links as well i will email you a free cuppa tea ;)

Card - NVidia GeForce G210 512MB

Current Drivers - 280.26

Its not a good card, but came with my pc, which is a crappy little acer thing :)

Do you have the latest DirectX run-times installed?

If you're not sure download them using the link below and install

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8109

If that brings you no joy then I would suggest uninstalling the new nvidia driver using driver sweeper and getting a previous version from the nvidia driver archives (link below)

P.S avoid using windows update to get the latest drivers for video cards...get them directly from the nvidia site

Thanks :)

A friend told me to get Driver Sweeper, have and analyzed and cleaned. But i am unsure how to remove the NVidia drivers through drive sweeper.

It seems when installing any of the drivers i get "Coprocessor driver was not found".

I have no clue what it is :(

Coprocessor is part of the driver software for an nvidia chipset.

What motherboard do you have?

If you can get the latest nforce chipset drivers for your motherboard that should sort out the "coprocessor" issue

its a nForce 720a A-2 chipset, downloaded the drivers from Acer website for my pc, and its still not working.

Starts the game, crashes instantly with a DirectX error which seems to be on everygame :/

I will re-install newest drivers for GPU and re-install chipset drivers and post back :/

It sounds like you have a driver overlap issue, these can be a pain in the rear.

If you cant get rid of the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling drivers then your last option might be a complete drive format and re-install windows and start afresh

I've done this twice now, same issue.

However it prompts me to download/install the newest drivers where the default ones are 275.33.

I'll try once again and not download the new ones. See if everything works then :)

Thanks.
