Directx Install woes (.cab not trusted)

Good evening all.

I was hoping my first post here on these forums was going to be more celebratory than it turns out...

I have received this week some shiny new bits from dear Overclockers.co.uk.
After painstakingly fitting and installing software I have hit a bit of a stopper.

Directx just will not install. (Win 7 Home Premium 64)

Tried many different setups but all errors come down to this -

I've checked the .cab file in question and sure enough the certificate is showing as not trusted, I've deleted these files and re-downloaded them a few times now with the result being exactly the same every time.


I've been banging my head on this for 5 hours now and my back aches, me bums numb and I still have got nearer to putting this shiney new PC through its paces.

What a muppet.

Downloaded the full redistributable file rather than the websetup file and it worked first time.

4 bloody hours. Pah.
