I'm a little confused, as i thought the G80 IS a dx10 card.. and from all the news on most websites their not due till april next year.. or possibly sooner to coincide with the release of Vista.

Ive seen a few posts now talking about the g80.. and no one seems to know exactly what the state of play is.. i guess nvidia are holding back the info - this tends to suggest their not being released soon.

Myself and a few others seem to be considering upgrades in the near future. would be very helpfull to know if anyone at OcUK has a good ball park date/month on thier release

Cheers

why would you read this thread then if you've seen it that many times ?

i read it to check it wasnt something new and to tell you to use the search function, one of these threads is put up every couple of days, i dont mean to get on your case, im just saying use the search function as youl find a lot of information about directX10, this threads simple doubling the information already available.

some examples...

personally i wont be going directX10 till at least feb / march 2007. there wont be many games out there that use DX10 till at least half way through 2007.

3 of the biggest anticipated games for several years are all DX9....

Spore - DX9 <---- possibly one of the most innovative games in the last 10 years.

Unreal tournament 2007 - DX9 <---- meh, first person shooter with HDR and a blade runner look to it, not my cup of tea, no thought required to play.

Supreme Commander - DX9 <---- the greatest Real time stratergy ever created, keep your eyes on this.

and they will all be out between november 2006 and march 2007.

There is also the fact the Vista will be a buggy piece of crap when it's released, so I wont be touching it until at least the first service pack. No DX10 for me for a while. But I don't care, in the grand scheme of things I have only had my X1900 5 minutes :D
