Due to no demo i have to ask silly questions which i cant find on google.
I know dirt3 is ment to be more optimized for logitech g wheels. But what does it actually feel like? is there dead points in the wheel? in dirt 2 i could give it half lock and not get any FFB. Hated that a lot.

Also what is the car setups like in dirt 3? is it more off a simulation type where you can change everything, or just like dirt 2.
Thanks
Marc

If you own Dirt2 then 3 is little different except worse gfx & fewer tracks (4 locations in total split up into 32 racetracks). 2 locations are taken from F1 2010=Monaco & Kenya=Dirt2.

Its a big letdown after Dirt2 & a backward step (even considering its Codemasters) :( You will spend on average around 1-3 mins per race/event & about 3-4 mins on waiting/pre-post race briefings/juvenille language you cannot skip telling you the obvious :(

It doesnt feel that great with the G27 but miles better than when i tried it on Dirt 1, have never tested 2 so can't comment on that, sim wise well... it doesnt feels like a sim but i'm comparing it to rfactor which is a sim, its a bit arcadey to rfactor which i play often.

I've actualy started using a pad on it and had a few good laughs with some mates, i didnt buy it anyway so can't complain, its decent enough for a bit of a online crack with yer mates.

Where in fife you from murray.

i took the plunge and bought it.
I dont see what all the fuss was about, everyone said it was immense but meh i prefer LFS for off road! iv not tried the online yet. But it is a good game dont get me wrong.

Only thing that gets me is i need to set my controls EVERY TIME i go into the game.
I thought they would off made better animations for the steering and arms. to me there to glitchy!
G27 does feel better in dirt 3 over dirt 2 but not by much. You do get more of a feeling in dirt 3 but some points when cars hit me from behind the steering would want to stay dead center and not pull me left or right.

Its a pain in the arse setting your controls each time, but there is a few fixes if you google for certain controlers, aint found one for my pad yet and i aint pulling the wheel out for it either lol.

No problems here with it remembering my controls if I press a button on my G27 to start the game.

One thing I did find is that steering had a 20% deadzone setup - turn this to 0% and it feels a lot better
