Dirt Rally comes to Ps4 / Xbox One in april.

maybe the engine was damaged, so the car lost power?

I just got paid out for the weekly events, event though it shows your tier for each stage you only get the overall payout. Shame i thought i'd be loaded, lol.

I think i need to do another career championship before i can afford a pikes peak car.

My misses surprised me with a copy for the PS4 yesterday. Well chuffed!

Great so far and pretty blown away by the frame rate a general feel. I'll definitely need to learn these courses.

Frame rate is very smooth which helps the feel of pace. Absolutely despise the Swedish runs though. I can't make one with out doing a few 180s after brushing the snow piles at the roadside on the flat out sections. I swear my car is attracted to them...

Finished the 1960s races but fell 3 points short, but can now only do the 1970s where it's a rear wheel drive hell. I wanted to have another go a the 1960s races. Can I not do that?

you can race the 1960s or whatever you want as many times as you like.

also remember in custom races you dont have to buy the cars and you can pick any track.the cars in custom are also fully upgraded so you can see the difference between your newly brought stock one and what it will be like upgraded.

Picked this up today for PS4. Came in a nice box + additional DVD which Ive not watched yet. Game is totally brilliant. Codemasters are at their best with this one. Cracking rally game.

Looks amazing and runs smooth as silk - loving how the co driver gives instructions via the DS4 speaker. Nice touch.

replays are great as well, music is a bit weak, seems a variation of the same track, but other then this, brilliant fun.

Really enjoyable when you put together a good run, frustrating when you don't :p

Gravel is really nice, but I can't get on with Tarmac..feels weird. Maybe I'm too used to gravel.

One little gripe however is the fact they advertise the game as having X number of stages yet it seems many contain at least half of another 'different' stage, and one I just did Geufron Forest is just Sweet Lamb in reverse!

Anyone else having trouble connecting to RaceNet? it's been intermittent for me over the weekend. I can connect, do one stage then cant upload the results etc..

I'm getting used to my Mk2 Escort, i've switched to bumper cam now, i prefer it over cockpit or bonnet view.

How's everybody doing with this so far then ?
I was just 4 points away from being promoted from Elite to Masters tuther day :p I'm currently doing a 2010 Rally Championship using the 2010 Fiesta Rally which is Awesome by the way.

I've been playing more World Of Tanks than Dirt Rally lately.

The problems connecting to Racenet started to get really annoying, as i was mainly doing the daily/weekly/monthly online events.

Career i'm only on my 2nd Championship, currently Clubman in my Mk2 Escort.

Career Rallycross, i'm in the Pro championship, i haven't bought a hillclimb car yet.

Car's i've got:-

1960's - Mini Cooper (3/3 upgrades)
1970's - Mk2 Escort (3/3 upgrades)
1980's - RS500 (2/4 upgrades)
Group B - Audi Sport (1/5 upgrades)
Group A - Lancia Delta (0/5 upgrades)
F2 Kitcar - Ibiza Kitcar (2/4 upgrades)
R4 - Evo X (4/4 upgrades)
Rallycross Classic - Mini (3/3 upgrades)
Rallycross 1600s - Clio (1/4 upgrades)

I'm in 3rd place after 5 events so hopefully with a 3rd or better in the Final event I should do it this time. The 2010 Fiesta Rally really is an Epic car.

Finished the last Elite Rally off & ended the Elite class in 3rd so got promoted to Master Class now.

Master Rallys have 12 stages in them & plenty of long ones as well, I finished my 1st Masters rally in 3rd place which was a right surprise as I seemed to finish most stages down around 7th place, Well happy with a 3rd in my first one though.
I did all my Elite Rallys in my 2010 Fiesta Rally but bought the 2010 VW Polo & started the Masters with it. The Fiesta is a Fantastic car the best car in the game so far but I just wanted to try summit different so bought the Polo, Not upgraded fully yet so I won't compare it to my Fiesta until it's fully upgraded but one thing I can say is the Engine note is great & it has this vibration/rattle noise at the end of the revs which helps with gear changes.
All in all I'm chuffed to bits to get to Masters Level just using a Controller & rate/like the game that much I've even considered getting a wheel/pedal/Wheelstandpro/chair set up but I'm not up to shelling out 400 quid though so unless I can get a decent 2nd hand set I will stick with the controller. The game itself as a Console Driver is the Best there is or has ever been & it's the best by quite some way as well. I've been through just about every console racer/driver that's been released & have played Racing games as my favourite genre alongside FPS all my life. This Dirt Rally as far as Handling/Control & driver involvement is without doubt the best driver/racer ever released on a console.

Only way this game could be improved is by adding more countrys but I expect that's to come with the standard Rip off Add ons that seem the norm these days. I'd happily pay another 15 quid for another 6-8 countrys though. :D

Absolutely Awesome game & a Must have for any Gamer into his Racers/Drivers.
