Disable Man Sues MI5 For Not Taking Him On.

Oh dear lord, the guys partially paralyzed and wants to become the next James Bond...

If your not great at being mobile, you are certainly not great at being a mobile surveillance officer for the MI5.

If he wins this and gets his compo, then this country has had it.

So why did he apply for a job that required the below?

Job Application said:
applicants should be able to pass a 'physically and mentally demanding' course.

The guy's a grade A tool!

Unbelievable.

"The job description states applicants should be able to pass a 'physically and mentally demanding' course."

Yet he couldnt physically move

Someone made a good point in the comments section - to get Incapacity Benefit, you must be incapable of working more than 16 hours a week. If he is incapable of doing that while at a higher standard of mobility, how was he capable of doing this job while fully paralysed?

EDIT: Also, the job should go to the best candidate, regardless of ethnicity or disabilities.

"But the former bus driver claims his disability and ethnicity ought to have made him the 'preferred candidate' out of the 1,092 who applied"

Un- ******* - believable.

I personally think it's a harsh decision.

Surely a quick visit to Q's lab could get helicoptor rotors and rocket motors fitted to his wheelchair to help with surveillance ?

'I was so ill that I couldn't move my hands, fingers, arms, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees feet and toes.'

'I knew the mobile surveillance officer job was active. They sent you out, sometimes to different countries to spy on someone. You are out on the front line.'

'I could go on a train or a coach or in a taxi - use public transport instead of a car.'I can't walk for miles but if you are asking me to observe or monitor someone in a city centre I could do that.'

Riiiight

lol yes he can use public transport to discretely track someone in a car. This kind of person needs to be wiped from the face of the earth.

It's not discriminating if you cannot physically do a job.

Its like my filing a claim against a potential employer because I don't have a particular skill set required that is needed for the job yet I was fully aware that the skills were required before applying.
