I have a long-term illness that would come under the DDA, and if I were to try to work right now, I'd need "reasonable" adjustments. The emphasis is on reasonable though. In my mind, it's reasonable in a new job if you are still able to perform the duties you were hired to do.

Most disabled people are reasonable about what they can and can't do, and they will apply for jobs accordingly.

Totally agree. The only adjustment I need to do my job is a bigger monitor, and I got that pretty much no questions asked. That's reasonable. Applying for a job that requires mobility when you can barely walk just isn't.

I'm not one for Daily Mail 'hate campaigns' (even though I did read it for a while several years ago), but they're spot on with this one. Should never haven even got to a courtroom. In this case, discrimination isn't the issue - being totally unsuitable for the job is. Anyone with an ounce of common sense (something notably lacking in society today) can see that.

If I applied for that job (which I wouldn't), I'd be rejected at the first hurdle, and rightly so.
