Disable secondary display via windows ?

Hi, if ive got my monitor connected to my pc via DVI and my plasma screen connected via HDMI how can i disable the plasma via windows ?

having both connected at the same time increases the idle speeds/temps of my graphics card so i want to be able enable/disable the plasma as and when i need,i cant really be bothered unplugging and plugging it back in every time i use it

ATI card,win 7 home,cats 10.12a
 
Yea, you can do via the display control panel or with a third party app in the system tray like Ultramon. I prefer to use Ultramon personally.
 
right click desktop>screen resolution. i think you'll find the option in there somewhere. failing that, i expect your ATI driver options will have it.
