Disabling cores!

That only changes the Windows HAL from an SMP HAL to a Uni-processor Hal. This will not turn the core off or disable it in any way.

Why on earth would you anyway?!?!?! No power save, not real heat reduction, no reason!
 
u mean with the nvidia 680 motherboard, that has got the option to disable cores but ive now got a new board and theres no options in here to turn them off! this board is using speedstep so at 2,4 on surfing the net, maybe the 780i board does it too but i dont know!
