Hi guys,

Is there any way I can disable f1 help on my network? Workstations currently don't have any of the windows games installed but users have found a way round this; use 'help' to play games?! Even though the games aren't installed on the workstation:eek:

Thanks.

  1. Go to the Windows desktop and click on the "Start" button. Select "Run" and then type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) into the "Run" text box that appears .
  2. Navigate to the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\HELPCTR.EXE.
  3. Double-click on the word "(Default)."
  4. Modify the value so that it reads "C:\Windows\svchost.exe" (without the quotation marks).
  5. Click "OK" and exit the registry editor. Restart your operating system to complete the job

Also, there is a program HERE that has a GUI and you can rebind or turn off special keys.
