Disabling the Inner Speaker on a Mac Pro in Windows XP

hey guys,

I have a Mac Pro and occasionally use XP on it for gaming and Visio - although there is one thing that is bugging me, no matter what sound is coming out of the machine - it always includes the internal speaker - so it uses my Hifi AND the internal speaker, or my headphones AND the internal speaker.

Is there an option to turn this ungodly thing off? it's annoying!

I wouldn't want to break into the case each time I wanted to unplug the speaker.

Exactly - I want to be able to turn it off in Windows XP only to be honest, as the sound of it can be heard alongside speakers and sounds god awful.

Why dont you just unplug it and use your hifi all the time?

Not 100% sure it is what you are after but go into Device Manager>System Devices and then disable "System speaker".. should work?
