Disabling Video/Image thumbnails in XP

I keep getting an error whenever thumbnails try to load when opening a folder full of videos, so I was wondering how to globally diable these thumbnails?

I can't seem to find the option for it, can anyone help me out here?

I had a similar problem before, i think it has something to do with media player 11 beta, this should stop the errors but its not a fix.

1) Open a command window (Start->Run, type in 'cmd' hit enter)

2) To remove media preview, type and hit enter
regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll

If you need to restore media preview, type and hit enter
regsvr32 shmedia.dll

you can do this straight from the run box (no need to do cmd first)

Thanks guys, problem temporarily solved.

I'll keep a look out for that fix in the future.
