Disc to disc

Hi all,

Whats the best program to mirror/copy my main C drive (IDE) to a new sata drive (Maxtor Diamondmax 21 250GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (STM3250310AS)).

When the move is complete, I want to then use the new sata drive as the main C drive and format the old ata drive and use it as a spare.

Anyone?

Want to try and do it via windows if possible.

Acronis True Image.

Before you start make sure that you've loaded all the drivers for the SATA controller (or make sure it's running in Legacy IDE mode). Then when you make the image get Acronis to expand it to fill the target drive so you don't end up with a chunk of unallocated space.

It is running in IDE mode via the bios and windows see's it.

Will look for Acronis True Image and report back.

Well I tried that Acronis and it goes through its thing and reboots, does it bit and says clone has been completed.

When I then boot back into windows the disc is empty?

I have used Nortons Ghost Corp. many times in the past to clone both PC and Xbox hard drives without any problems.
