went for a look round a factory discos are made in years ago when going for a job there. the smell was horrific. but the finished discos fresh of the line where awesome. till then i never realised they where just pressed out of huge sheets of ''stuff'' though

They used to be great though I can imagine them being dissapointing now. Similar to skips I tried a few months back, they shouldn't even bear the same name as the old ones.

Worst crisp crime was moving Brannigans from the papery bags into foil ones. Made me rage; they never tasted the same again.

Discos .... the poor mans Pringles

I used to love Discos especially when they ran that thing were you got a 'Flava Bomb' inside that you could add extra flavour to the crisps. I'd eat about 5 packets without adding the bomb in and then put all the extra flavour sachets into one packet. Instant roof of mouth remover

Did you never wonder how they got them all perfectly circular and with such a weird texture before?

I'd agree that Discos used to be better (or at least that is what my memory tells me) but as said you sometimes still get a packet where the flavouring is properly done and you can't eat them without your mouth screwing up from the vinegar. Somerfield's finest handmade Salt & Vinegar crisps are also surprisingly good for both flavour and being cooked correctly which I hadn't really expected when I first tried them.

Squares are totally awesome. Never seem to be "the choice" when you're shopping though, for some reason!

i lived on 10p crisps as a kid, a piece and bikers or discos was the best thing in the world. 15p crisps like they are now doesnt have the same ring
