anybody else with sky / VM finding this a good watch

I really love "the garage". Its a docu soap about an english garagae in the spanish costas. That would make for a semi intersting show, but the technical diagrammes showing exactly what they're trying to fix make it very informative as well

I also love wheeler dealers as well, seeing how cars get resprayed etc.. again is really infromative

you've then got the less informative but cool stuff like overhaulin, monster garage / monster races etc..

Before i started watching this, i knew sod all about engines. Since watching the various shows, ive got a fair idea of how it all works now. I now know what a big end is etc..

The thing I don't get about The Garage - the owner / manager is Scottish, yet they are called English Mobile Mechanics? Surely the Spanish are fed up of the English enough that calling your business English isn't the best idea? ;)

I quite enjoy watching that program.. shame its not on for longer and the blimmin adverts get in the way.

Cringeworthy TV if you ask me.
Stroppy scots git who embarrasses himself as soon as a bit of skirt comes round. I do give him credit for his work though as whenever any of the other dudes struggles he gets it sorted himself.

I watch it a lot at the GF's when she is at work. Wheeler Dealers and Wrecks to riches are pretty good! Amercian Chopper is one of my faves too.

best wheeler dealers ive seen was a restoration of an old 911 targa. It was a 1980s model (dont know its proper designation but its the 2nd generation)

and the gearbox had gone, so they took the engine out by lifting the chassis off the engine using the ramps.

Once out, they changed the gearbox for a refurbished unit and changed the clutch as well. Seeing a 911 stripped bare like that was very good

As for the garage, i never watch it for the soap aspect of it. I just like seeing the problems that come in and what they do to sort it. The owner seems to know what his stuff though.

i quite like wheeler dealers and the garage, although i used to love "sold in 60 seconds" on ITV M&M. terrible show but the tips the presenter gave were sometimes hilarious as were his choice of cars for punters :p

I love The Garage (I imagine it's called English Mobile Mechanics because they speak English, not because they are English) and Wheeler Dealers. Mike Brewer is a legend. Many good programs on Discovery Turbo, in fact it's the first channel I flick to when I turn the TV on.
