Was just about to click purchase on these Pagid 300x22mm vented discs for the front of my E46 325i and then these Yellowstuff pads to go with them.

Figured I would double check if anyone else had any suggestions on discs or even pads? Increasing track day use in the next year hence the Yellowstuff pads. It was mainly discs that I was looking for either reassurance on, or other suggestions... I guess up to £100? Give or take a bit if worth it.

I'd agree with the DS2500's for improved track performance, or even DS3000 if you can put up with the wooden feeling when cold.

Don't forget to get brake fluid too.

Assuming it's compatible with your system, RBF600 is great stuff

I really liked Yellowstuff pads on my old MX5, didn't experience any fade on track days and I've only come across positive opinions from others who have had the recent Yellowstuff compounds.

I'm no expert on a track and I do a lot of driving in between any track day so I need pads that are still perfectly good whilst cold. By increasing I mean like... 4+ it's not gonna be a huge amount. Still check the ds2500's?

DS2500s are great, very dusty though. Good pedal feel and work well from cold. Ive had 3 sets in all.

They need proper bedding in though, follow the instructions properly. If you dont bed them in at all, or do it wrong (build heat into them way too quickly by absolutely hammering them until they smoked, like one tuner did immediately after fitting them to my old civic type r), then the pedal feels pretty wooden and they dont seem to bite as well. Build heat into them gradually, start just by dragging the brake pedal repeatedly and slowly treat get more and more aggressive until you are doing repeated hard stops. Bedding them in through normal road driving didnt work as well...follow the instructions and they seemed to work better.

That's the sort of thing that really helps, ta for that :) will have a look for them now then.

I guess I should just stick with the smooth Pagids?
