Discussion forums and document collaboration

Hi

I was looking for some advice on setting up a site to share docs and discussions. Its just a small group of people who want to share microsoft documents and brainstorm ideas. Office live workspaces looks good to me but i'd rather not have a separate discussion forum/wiki page for the ideas bit.

Curious as to what others use..?
