Dishwasher help!

Well our Hotpoint Aquarius has torn its rubber gasket and so we've got a new one but are well and truly stuck as to where the metal ring with the plastic clip goes?

Can someone please please please tell us soon! (maybe with a diagram? ) before we go mad!!!!!

might sound daft but where did the one it had on before you took it off go ?

( and yes there should have been one on the old rubber gasket .)
