So we got in this evening and discovers the dishwasher was still running, opened it to find it wasn't draining, it won't start a new cycle and I can't work out any force drain function. It is an integrated lamona hja8639

Any one got any ideas, it's the first dishwasher I've ever used so I know next to nothing other than filling salt and cleaning the filter.

When you say it wont start a new cycle, you mean you turn it off and what? At the start of mine it pumps any water out first at the beginning. As above check outlet isnt blocked or kinked.

Sounds like either the drain pump has failed, or possibly the float level sensor has failed so the drain pump will not kick in.

Both very common faults with dishwashers, have changed my float sensor every couple of years or so, on our ten year old Creda.

You tube is full of videos on how to replace sensors.

To be fair once installed have never had issued with drainpipes getting blocked as filters are very efficient on dishwashers, and pipes tend nopt to move so are either kinked on install and create problems from day one, or are fine for years.

Ive just attempted to check the drain hose by disconnecting it, the thing wont come out even with a decent amount of force, it looks like this one;

Which to me looks as if it should literally just be a push fit and should pull right out, there is no clamp on the end that connects to the sink waste pipes its the "intergrated adapter" end. Am i being stupid and should just use a bit of brute force?

lamona is bekos name for howdens,

Bekos don't use a pressure switch to measure water instead they "count" the water in via a flow meter, when they drain they run the pump for a set time period.
If there is a blockage (jammed drain pump, blocked hose) they will not realise and next fill will over flow into the base.

The base has a polystyrene float with microswitch above it which if activated will turn drain pump on (if this is jammed it can over heat and seize)

If you can here the pump running i'd go with blocked waste hose, possibly from rubbish plumbing allowing back feed.
If you cant here here the pump just a faint hum, i'd guess jammed pump, lean machine back (will probably leak some water have a towel ready) some have two screws hold base tray in place other have plastic base with retaining clips round it.
If memory serves me right pump is a bayonet fitting towards the front right hand side. If you suspect hose is blocked by fat put as much of it as you can where you suspect blockage in bowl of very hot water for 5-15 minutes, then try to run a drain with some hot water in machine.

My issue with that is it is integrated, the only noise I hear is 3 clicks sounds, maybe the pump trying to but failing?
