Disk defragment - require help..

Hi, i tried to defrag my computer last night, but when i clicked analyse i was hit by a error message saying.. cannot perform this on drive NTFS C:

run chkdsk /f

So i did this and it asked me to schedule a scan at next reboot, so i rebooted and nothing happened and i tried to defragment again and nothing..

Any ideas?

Try and run chkdsk/scandisk at next reboot, before performing a defrag.

I remember when I performed an offline defrag at startup, with Diskeeper, without performing a chkdsk. From that point on, it looped - startup > diskeeper failed to run > reboot > startup....
