Its free and does everything i want a defragmenter to do

What does a defrag ACTUALLY do -Been a question I have kept to myself for some time now...

Erm, how much hdd space do I need to do it aswell..

Only on a 60gb hdd, and got 20gb free.

basically, when you save a file it's saved into loads of small chunks, sometimes these chunks are just saved at random intervals throughout the disk, so it takes longer to open the file as the hard drive 'looks' for the pieces

defragmentation puts all the pieces together for each file so your file will be all in chunks next to each other.

i use o&o defrag, best interface imo
