I have had this drive for about 2 yrs now and it runs in an overlocked system which has not crashed or rebooted but this last week has started to consistantly give this error on boots. Typical day is lots of gaming then powered off for the night. Then the next day the first boot has started to fail with a blank screen and the above error. CTRL ALT DEL does nothing, perhaps my gaming keyboard locks on those keys so i spam reboot and ignore it until everything works fine and it boots into windows.

This has happened this last 3 days but this morning i had a flash about S.M.A.R.T failure. I went into my bios and the boot priority has swapped from SSD to DVD but changing them had no effect. But now randomly its working again and im back in windows like everythings perfect. And i cannot find any errors with HDtune or intel toolbox. I see a few number 1's beside fail erase block count but thats it it says ready or fine under all the SMART checks. I sold the computer in question so someone who is picking it up soon too and im worried its the motherboard or overclock starting to fail.

what fw version? make sure your on the latest to fix the 5400 hour use freeze bug,to check look in ssdlife

0309 mate and it has only started doing it. I had a fight with it earlier and i noticed that when the error comes up for disk read error the drive dissapears from the boot list. I checked it once again with scans and did chkdisk and all seems good.

Im starting to worry its the motherboard sata port as its only happening after turning it on the next morning after a night of gaming. And once i can get in windows once with multiple restarts i can get in everytime after that no problems until the next morning :/

Its stopped this last few days and all i did was downclock from 4.7 to 4.0 and kept my 1.36V which is just SAD as i tried as 4500 and had the same thing happen with disk read error on a cold boot. And 0309 should not need to be updated at all, its just happened randomly and now im wondering just is it the overclock? Thats nuts that not even 4400 works and only 4GHZ works. I even kept the ram overclocked which is my kingston 2133 kit doing 2400 1T!

Also Devrji had the same error
