Disk surface scan for individual RAID 1 drives

I have two samsung f1's in raid 1. They are fine, but with all this concern about quality control I would like to give them each a thorough surface scan. However, the windows apps I've tried either do the raid volume as a whole (hdtune) or have a hard time detecting anything (seagate, wd). Similarly, I can't get bootable tests working. The samsung test (on cd) doesn't boot (I will scout around for a fdd shortly which may have more success), and seagate on cd cannot detect the array at all.

I don't think breaking the array is an option as it probably means wiping the drives when making the raid again (intel ICH9R).

So.. any good programs out there?
Cheers

You need to change your BIOS settings so instead of running them in SATA/Raid mode you need to run them in either SATA/AHCI mode, or IDE before most DOS programs will detect them correctly.

Once you've run the test you can change them back to RAID mode and the array will resume as before.
